The Common Residential Playground Equipment
Christopher Wen
Defined Tag: Residential Playground Equipment.
With the fast evolvement of today’s world, residential playground equipment look different now than they did several years back. But the favorite equipments still remain such as:
Seesaw The concept of seesaw is simple but clever; while one goes up, the other goes down. A slender and elongated board is placed atop a lever. It should be balanced in the center for it to be able to work the way it was conceived.
Swing Now, there are many variations of swings in residential playground equipment. Its hanging seat is attached to either ropes or chains, suspended in the air just enough for its occupants to enjoy the sway as the swing moves back and forth.
Slide Slides may be made out of plastic or metal. They have a placid surface and the shape can be simply straight or rippled. Slides are popular now not only for outdoor parks but also in swimming pools and the like.
Jungle Gym This is also called the monkey bars. The idea of which is for a child to hang onto it like a monkey, transfer from one rail to another, like a monkey transferring from one tree branch to another.
Not only can it be seen now with complicated structures and different shapes, some are made with metal pipes and others with ropes.
Sandpit As most children love to play with sand, sandpit enables them to be imaginative and boost their creativity. They can use their beach toys in it and actually pretend to be in one and even build sandcastles or whatever their imaginations may allow them to.
Other Equipments The equipments in a playground also depend where it is located. Public residential playground equipment may be in parks, or at schools, in child care facilities, institutions, or restaurants, resorts, and recreational blocks, and other areas of public use.
